NOW THAT 2019 IS BEHIND US, WE CAN TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE STARTUPS THAT RAISED FUNDS THIS YEAR... AND THERE WERE MANY OF THEM.

2019 just ended, and lucky for us (and you) we’ve gathered lists of almost every Israeli startup that raised money in each month, so we have decided to create a mega-infographic with all the startups!

We’ve had an incredible year with fantastic numbers, and so many new Unicorns were born, that the name might as well be changed to a rarer creature.

So, according to our resources*, 405 startups have raised together more than $7.67 billion throughout 2019, which is a $1 billion higher than last year’s record of $6.47 billion (According to IVC).

Here are some more interesting facts:

  • The biggest funding rounds went to Insurance tech startups Lemonade ($300 million) in April, Next Insurance ($250 million) in October, and cyber company Cyberason ($200 million) in August.
  • 19 companies raised over $100 million in one round:
DriveNets, Innoviz, Lemonade, Selina, Gett, SentinelOne, Cellebrite, Monday.com, Lightricks, Trax, Cybereason, Fundbox, Next Insurance, Fabric, Rapyd, Riskified, Vayyar Imaging, BlueVine, and DoiT.
  • 9 companies turned into Unicorns this year! The list includes Next Insurance, Riskified, Cybereason, Trax, Lightricks, Gett, Monday.com, Rapyd, and WalkMe.

Some of the companies listed in our infographics were founded by Israelis and have an R&D in Israel, but they are not considered Israeli companies.

* Our data is based on news from tech websites and information collected from Startup Nation’s Central Finder, and does not include undisclosed rounds or information that wasn’t shared to the public. The actual numbers may be even higher.
